Dear Friend,
As you may have seen in the news, Congress has passed a bill this afternoon that will lead to an estimated 16 million people losing their health insurance in the years ahead - 750,000 in Georgia alone.
It is unimaginable.
After learning of this, I had to take a moment to share my thoughts.
Mosaic Health Center is ready for this moment, because what our nation needs more than ever are organizations like ours that say to those who have no health insurance: please come, you are welcome. We are not here to make money off of your health. We are here to heal you.
We have been doing this work for a decade now in the most diverse square mile in Georgia, and the only thing that has held us back from reaching more people is ongoing, generous financial support.
The headwinds are fierce: cuts in federal funding combined with increased need means we rely, more than ever, on your support. We need that support today.
On this unimaginable day, please take a moment to make your voice heard by giving the gift of healthcare access to those in need. We are committed to maximizing the impact of your support by providing compassionate care to individuals with no health insurance.
Your contribution will serve as a direct response to this unimaginable day. It will help us to provide care for those in need, and to take the first steps toward healing a wounded nation.
Jeremy Cole
Executive Director
