Today, I’m excited to share with you that the Clarkston Community Health Center, the premier primary and preventative healthcare provider for uninsured individuals in Clarkston and surrounding communities, has changed its name to Mosaic Health Center. This change has been months in the making, and we’re thrilled to share our new brand with the community.
First and foremost, this is only a change in name. We are not changing our services, location, or who we are, and have not been purchased or acquired by any other entity. We remain a community clinic that is devoted to patient-centered care. Our patients can continue to expect the same excellent service from the same team of expert medical professionals. As Mosaic Health Center, we remain dedicated to our core values of dignity, excellence, compassion, access, innovation, and community. And we remain committed to the tenet that the best of humanity is revealed when we work selflessly for the benefit of others.
As the Center celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, we felt the need to change our name to one that reflects our aspirations and better represents visually the professional care that our patients receive. With the ongoing expansion of our organization, services, and patient population, we want the community to know that while we will continue to serve those living in Clarkston, our doors are open to anyone in need.
Mosaic - /mōˈzāik/ - a combination of diverse elements forming a whole.
The name Mosaic celebrates the diverse group of people that make up our clinic and community – a symbol of how we’re made stronger by coming together. It also reflects our intention to put the broken pieces of our healthcare system back together by focusing on people over profits.
To our donors and partners, please rest assured that we continue to be the same group of committed individuals devoted to access to healthcare. As always, philanthropic support is critical to allow us to leverage this new brand to the fullest, expanding services and providing care to even more uninsured individuals in our community. Since every $1 spent on primary care saves $13 in healthcare costs, our clinic is a worthwhile investment in the health of our patients and community at large. The only change moving forward is that all checks sent to us starting on January 13th should be made out to Mosaic Health Center.
As we look forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary later this year, we hope our new name sparks the same excitement and pride in you that our Mosaic Health Center team feels. Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our mission. Without it, this next chapter for our clinic would not be possible.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Cole
